Urban Village 1
Urban Village 1 is a project to create an architecturally dynamic urban village of terraced townhouses within Frankton, Queenstown. This is not an affordable housing initiative, but a more affordable housing initiative. Our focus will be on quality, sustainability, energy efficiency and enabling a good community environment.
Frankton area is well located with increased access from the newly formed Hawthorne Drive, close proximity to the airport and the location of the new Wakatipu High School. Expansion of commercial areas and access to recreational facilities make it the perfect location for full time residents who want inner city living. Access to public transport, the ability to walk/bike and proposed enhancements such a ferry terminal and gondola, mean you can easily live in this location without even owning a car, combine that with great sunshine hours and views make this the best choice for long term liveability.
Housing will be terraced townhouses of two to four level walk ups. These are likely to range from 2-4 bedroom main residences with optional studio or 1 bedroom attached apartments. Site dependent we would like to create income earning assets within the development that the body corporate owns to offset future maintenance costs. There may even be profits which can be redistributed to households, invested in other funds or donated to charities.
Who is this project for? Anyone who meets the following criteria:
- Is an owner occupier - must intend to live in the property for the majority of the year for at least the next three years.
- Interested in living in a higher density environment - no lawns to mow!
- Appreciation for investment in quality & sustainable design.
- Have the appropriate deposit requirement and approved lending for your chosen house product.
